Buddy:
How interesting!When fox-hunting on the
Reservation many years ago (Sid Shachnow had
obtained a special permission for us) we had
a check in a clearing where there was a very
old graveyard with a small fence around it.
If my memory serves, I believe there was a
little white church but I don't remember the
name.
My 3rd gr.grandfather (and 4th gr.grand-uncle) was Daniel Curtis McKenzie
b.1824 d. 1907, m. Margaret Ann Black. (10
Children) His oldest dau., Nancy b.1855 m.
Neil C. Blue. (12 Children-Henry, Zebulon
Vance, Luther, Neil, Robert, Joe, Sallie,
Lily, Ida, Catherine, Laura, & Dolph)
His 2nd dau., Catherine C."Cate" McKenzie b.
1862, m. John McKeithan b. abt. 1855. His
3rd dau. Laura Jane b.1866, m. James L. (Jim
or Kim?)McKeithan b. abt. 1855. (My 2nd
gr.grandfather)
I tried to no avail to email the Kim McKeithan AWT submitter ([email protected].
com.) The account is not working. So far, we
are unable to find James or Laura in the
(Moore Co., NC) census.Perhaps they died
along with dau. Verdie and son Daniel Curtis.
Thank you for responding and for the additional information.
