Hi Bev,
When searching for ancestors it is worth remembering that, Mac means son of.
I found one of mine, Edward McKEAN listed as Edward Kean when he married, after a long long search and almost giving up on him.
As most folk were illiterate the spellings were as the Cleric heard them.
