Yes, they actually spelled George's name wrong. I do know for sure the spelling is Britton. I believe he may have been named after another family member because there is a huge pattern of that then. I believe also that my line of McKeehan that goes back to Benjamin McKeehan and Mary Hickey McKeehan would be linked to your line. Noah's Father was Hezekiah McKeehan, and if memory serves correct, Thomas McKeehan was Hezekiah's brother OR father. I am waiting for information from Patrick McKeehan who has a hard copy of the tree that has over 3000 names and it is really good research. I had the tree many years ago.
Pasted from my post closer to the top of this board here is my info on George Britton McKeehan. I have a photo of his Grave, but it is currently on my camera waiting for my pc to come home. I am using my sons laptop now, and can't save my info on his pc to post it. Within the month, there will be a memorial for Brit on findagrave.com.

There is another post on the boys, Nevell and Damos. I did find them attending and living at a boys industrial school in Jefferson County, AL on a census. That microfilm copy is also on my hard drive.
Wow! I think me, you, and Wanda just Mite all prove VERY helpful to each other in our research!
I am looking forward to linking all this!
