I have it that Col William McKee's wife Miriam was actually Miriam McKee, his own cousin and the daughter of John McKee, brother of Robert McKee. Miriam and William were married 20 May 1766. She was b. 27 Sep 1747, and d. 30 Oct 1796.
James McKee's son, John Lapsley McKee officiated at the marriage of my grandfather William H. Reed to Leila S. VanArsdall on 8 Oct 1885, in Harrodsburg, KY.
