I am still looking for more on James McKee (1771-1839) SAID to have emigrated from County Down, Ulster, Ireland to Pennsylvania in 1793. That might not be 100 percent. He may well have been son of grandson of an earlier immigrant. I say that because his wife's family clearly arrived in Chester County, PA before the Revolution. My James McKee did have his obit published in the WESTERN ARGUS (a local newspaper of Beaver, PA).

Again, my James McKee (1771-1839) may have been the son OR grandson of parents or grandparents from County Down. He married Rachel Whan (Wann, etc.) probably in PA. He resided in what was Shenango Township, Beaver County, now Lawrence County, PA. He had the following known children: James G. McKee; John A.McKee, David A. McKee, Hugh McKee and Jane McKee (1811-1849) who married William Mayne, Jr. of Shenango Township. Let me know if you have anything on these folk or their antecedents
