Please take an autosomal DNA test through one of the companies offering same..........my McKee husband has all three--------Family Tree DNA called Family Finder, 23andme and ancestryDNA at ancestry.com.
This is the one way, and possibly the only way, you and I can prove your ancestry that we have discussed for so long. It is not a 100% guarantee but it is a chance. Would help you and help me.
My research, and the results of research by those I work with, continues to point to Leon Douglas McKee (my husband) and the men of his yDNA connection to the same lineage of the McKee of Western Pennsylvania including those who have been credited-claimed as being the progenitor lineage of the McKeesport McKee who have, to date as far as I know, failed to produce a male candidate for yDNA test. There does not appear to have ever been a McKee male from this lineage online in any of the public forums I follow.
With your McKee heritage there is a good chance we could find some autosomal kinship between you and Leon (Doug) that would further your research and mine. I am getting a better handle on isolating Leon's McKee autosomal results with the testing of his bloodline sister and now, finally, our McKee son has just tested at 23andme.
I know you are, as am I, a Senior Citizen (having earned capital letters in your nomenclature so-to-speak) and live on retirement funds. However, I think I could help you out with this if you want to communicate again offline. Maybe we could spread the cost over 3-4 months or something. 23andme is now less than one hundred dollars. And, that is a bargain even for us.
Thanks for thinking about this Donna.
