Hello, Linda.

I have just discovered several messages of interest posted by you, and note that you are a serious researcher. I have considerable interest in this family, and have some information to share, which will take some time. My GGGG Uncle, James McKee Brunot, a son of Dr. Felix Brunot, was born on the Island, in 1803, and was a childhood friend of John and Catherine McKee. He was named after old James Mckee, who was his God-Father. These families were close neighbors, and friends, and the McKees were mentioned in a number of family letters which I have. I have a number of special questions about John McKee and a letter carried by John to Dr. Felix B. in 1808 all the way from New Orleans, probably by keelboat, and possibly on the boat of Mike Fink. Please contact me by E-Mail - I cannot cope with maintaining contact by searching through various threads of various message boards - billbrunot@earthlink. net.
