Thanks, Nancy, but there were several Absalom Soverns/Severns individuals. I know of at least four: Absolam, Sr.and Jr. In Beaver County, PA (Sr. Was probably brother to Daniel Severns who pioneered in Monongalia County, VA); a third Absolam who was son of Major Joseph Severns of Knox County, Ohio ( Joseph being brother to the Absolam, Sr, in PA); and a fourth Absalom Soverns (mine), who lived in Coshocton County, Ohio and who was probably the son of John Soverns ( John also a brother to Ab, Sr. and Major Joseph). Confusing, I know. This family also had several Johns and Josephs, and Daniels, making it very hard to separate them.
