John B McGowan 1795-1863 father is John McGowan 1755-1820 (maried Sarah 1770-1820). That 1st John McGowan came to the US in the late 1700's from Glasgow, Scotland
John B McGowan and his wife Julia Ann Covert 1812-1899, had many sons, one of which is William McGowan b.1843 who stayed in Butler Co. PA, and had 9 children, one of which is Angelo Bernard McGowan (1895-1970).
Angelo Bernard McGowan had 4 children (Mary, Margaret, Aloysius and John. John Erekens McGowan b 1938 is my grandfather.
