1750 -53 Anson County NC formed from part of Bladen County. Rowan Countyformed from northern part of Anson County.
1753 -54 William McKee of Anson County held land on north side of Catawba River near John Barnet, Alex. Nesbit.Note: The Catawba River begins in the mountains of western NC and flow south into several northern counties of SC.
1753 William McKee of Duplin County received on 15 Nov. 1753 Grant # 578 for 1000 acres of land on Northeast Cape Fear adjoining land of Robert McKee.Note: Scoth-Irish settlers arrived about 1736 in this lowland coastal region of NC
1754 Robert McKee of Duplin County on 22 Feb 1754 submitted a cancellation of 200 acres of land on Northeast Cape Fear.
1754 John McKee of Anson County received on May 17, 1754 Grant #958 for 720 acres of land on west side of Sugar Creek.Note: Sugar Creek runs about twelve miles east-north east of Charlotte.
1755 William McKee of Anson County held parcel on south side of Waxhaw Ck near John White, Roger Smith. Note: Waxhaw and Cane Creeks whose headwaters rise in present Union County NC and flow westward through Lancaster County SC into the Catawaba River.First settled by Scotch-Irish in 1751.
1756 -60 Ann McKee of Orange County applied and on 2 Aug 1760 received Grant # 149 for 378 acres of land in fork of Little River. Parcel near Murdoch Place.County Deed #149. Note: Little River is a small tributary of the Jacob Fork of Catawba River now Burke County about 50 miles northwest of Charlotte..
1762 Mecklenburg County formed from western part of Anson County
1762 Alexander McKee of Anson County received Warrant # 262 for 400 acres of land on waters of Sugar Creek.
1763 John McKee of Mecklenburg County on 21 Dec 1763 received Grant #30 for 140 acres of land on waters of Twelve Mile Creek.Note: Twelve Mile Creek begins in Mecklenburg County, N.C., and flowed into the Catawba River, forming the southern boundary of the Catawba Indian Land in what is now Lancaster County SC.
1763 Alexander McKee of Mecklenburg received Grant #51 for 400 acres of land on Sugar Creek.
1766 Alexander McKee of Mecklenburg received Grant #213for 190 acres of land on Sugar Creek near Samuel Bigham, Thomas Patton.
1768 John McKee of Mecklenburg held land on sides of Waxhaw Creek next to Isaac McCulloch, Steven White.
1771 David McKee of Mecklenburg County applied and on 4 Mar 1775 receivedGrant #680 for 176 acres of land on side of Buffaloe Creek.
1778 - 87 John McKee of Rowan County applied and on 9 Aug 1787 received Grant #1514 for 640 acres of land on north fork of Buffaloe Shoal Creek. Note: Buffalo Shoal Creek flows southward into the Catawba River. This parcel site is noted on the 1773 Sharpe Map of the Fourth Creek Congregation
1779 - 89 William McKee of Rowan County and as (assignee of James Reed) received Grant # 1949 for 350 acres of land on waters of Fourth and Fifth Creeks.Note: This parcel likely about eight miles east of Statesville in area where several Reed families held land.

1779 - 99 Sarah Mckee of Randolph County applied and in 1799 received Grant # 1146 for 140 acres of land on waters of Deep River. Note: Deep River in NC lowland area.
1780- 84 William McKee of Orange County applied and on 9 Nov, 1784 received Grant #792 for 300 acres of land at the Head of Flatt River.Note: Caswell County on northern NC border formed from northern part of Orange County and likely includes headwaters of Flatt River.
1781 - 99 William McKee of Orange County applied and on 7 Jun 1799 received Grant #1511 for 100 acres of land on waters of Little River. Note: Little River area north of present Hillsborough NC and below PA border.Early settlers believed from Lancaster County PA.
1782 - 94 William McKee of application for 308 acre parcel land warrant # 2585, grantlocatedon Elk River of Middle District of TN. Note: This region part of NC until formation of TN in 1796.
1783 - 89 Alexander McKee warrant # 575 , Grant #338 for 1000 acre land locatedon east side of Grove Ck of Western District of TN. Note: This region part of NC until formation of TN in 1796.
1784-87 Alexander McKee of Mecklenburg County applied and received on 7 Aug, 1787 Grant #732 for 100 acres of land Rocky Branch of McAlpins Creek.Note: McAlpins Creek flows southeast of Charlotte into Yadkin River.Site of Rev. War skirmish in Sep 1780.
1784 - 88 Alexander McKee Warrant # 2631, on Jul 10 , 1788 & Grant #67 for 1500 acreslocatedon Grove Ck & on Obion River of Western District of TN. Note: This region part of NC until formation of TN in 1796.
1784 William McKee of Bladen County received Grant # 994 for 200 acres of land on south side of great marsh called “ Big Marsh Swamp”

1791 William McKee of Mecklenburg County applied on 19 Jan 1791 for 28 acres of land on waters of Six Mile Creek. Note: Six-mile Ck, Waxhaw Ck & Twelve mile Ck all part of Catawba River basin near Charlotte.
1792 - 96 John McKee of Washington County TN Application & Grant #1213 on 20 Jul 1796 for 200 acres of land Knaves Branch. Note: This region part of NC until formation of TN in 1796.
1793 -94 James McKee of Burke County received Grant # 1600 for land on small branch of Silver Creek. Note: Silver Creek township about 50 miles due west of Statesville NC
1793-94 John & Andrew McKee of Mecklenburg County applied and on 9 Jul 1794 received Grant # 1141 for 156 Acres of land on both side of Carr’s Creek. Note: Appears that Carr’s Creek later named Mill Creek south of Charlotte.
1796 - 99 Sarah McKee of Randolph County received in 1799 grant 1179 for 48 acres of land on waters of Deep River. Note: Lowland area of eastern NC.
