Thanks for posting this article and photos. I'm a direct descendent of William and Cassie McKee through their daughter Dorcas who married Philip Horney.

William is one of the most interesting of all the ancestors I've found. He was a pioneer twice - one of the 1st settlers in Crawford County, Indiana, in 1806, and then in 1826, at age 44, moves his wife and 10 children to become one of the 1st settlers in Schuyler COunty, Illinois. Quite a guy.

Do you have any good info on his father James?
