Thanks Linda for your response. There are several McKee's still on the same road that I will follow up with. I read the Will last week and was intrigued with the historical aspect of the content. Also there is a hand written note about the Civil War from a Rankin McKee. I purchased the land from Edwin McKee who died in 2001. He was born in the house and said that his grandfather built the house. I started tracing the history and saw your posting. I will ask more questions next week. I believe that I will be able to post the Will of William. It is interesting that be bequeaths his slave by name to his children. Also his money is in shillings rather than dollars. Ron
