Tami - have you had any luck here. Johnson McKee is my 4th Great grandfather.

Here's some info on him:
Johnson McKee was listed as Johnson McRee in the 1850 U.S. Census for Caneadea Township in Allegheny County, NY. He was 30 (b PA) and employed as a carpenter; his wife Amanda was 30 (b NY). There were four children in their household: Teresa (7), Andrew (5), Walter (4) and John W. (2).

Johnson McKee was said to have been 49 years old (b abt 1811) when the 1860 U.S. Census was taken, but a transcription of the burials in Caneadea Cemetery in Allegany County, NY, says he was 71 when he died in 1890 (b abt 1819).

B: 1811 in PA
D: 15 Sept 1890 in Allegany, NY

Have you been able to figure out any additional info on Johnson or Amanda. I don't have Amanda's info either.

Good luck and happy searching,
Tim Rawson
