Don't believe everything you read. Who wrote this? When was it written? What were the sources?

The same is true for John McKee and Esther Hawthorne being the parents of David McKee.

I've been following this family since the '60s, and this John McKee-Esther Hawthorne link only started showing up in the '90s, through the IGI. There is no basis for this.

It would be nice if, for example, some handwritten notes or genealogy from the 19th-century turned up, from David McKee's family, for example.
