In the name of God, Amen. I Robert McKie of the state of Tennessee and county of Wilson being weak of body yet sound of mind and memory and calling to mind the mortality of my body and knowing that it is appointed for all men to die, nothing doubting but that I shall receive again by the power of all mighty God who gave it. First of all I recommend my soul to God who gave it and my body to be buried in a Christian like manner at the direction ofmy executor hereafter to be named, and touching such worldly property as it hath pleased God to bles me with in the life I dispose it in this manner.
First I will and bequeath unto my beloved wife Sarah McKie 50 acres of land where I now live it beginning 30 poles from Henry Mackey northwest corner running 60 poles north thence west and south for complements. I further Will and bequeath unto said Sarah my beloved wife, two cows and calves, two sows and pigs, 4 shoats, one mare, one saddle and bridle together with all the household and kitchen furniture. I also bequeath to my wife one negro woman named Sylvia, one negro boy named Jerry, one other boy named David and one boy named Thomas. Secondly and lastly I constitute and appoint my beloved wife Sarah McKie and Duncan Johnson executors of this last Will and Testaments, directing them to make sale of all my property that is not yet bequeathed the better to enable them to pay off and discharge all my debts and if there should be any money remaining after all my debts are paid my will is that the remaining if there should be any to be paid to my beloved wife Sarah McKie to be at her disposal as she may think best, I also bequeath to the said Sarah McKie my beloved wife all the agricultural books which are now in my possession which I have omitted to mention before.
So witnessed where of I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 25th day of June in the year of our Lord 1808.
