Hi Linda

Ambrose was my GG Gradfather, his oldest daughter May (Clora May) was my G Grandmother and was recently married at the time of this census to my G Grandfather Arthur Pool and they lived in Coffeyville. May died in the Flu epidemic of 1917-1918. The younger brother's name was Everet(t) and they had one more brother (Harshal) born around 1900-1901. The family shows up in Cherokee, KS in the 1905 Kansas State Census but it looks like Ambrose Sr. died between 1905-1910 as Chlora and the boys lived next dore to my G Grandmother in Coffeyville in one of Arthur Pool's houses in the 1910 census without Ambrose Sr. After May died in 1917, the moved out as a family to California and Ambrose Jr and his mom later to OR. I have had a difficult time tracing Ambrose McKees background but have done a lot with Chlora Hicksonbaugh (sic) McKee. Her father was Levi Hicksonbaugh who is buried outside Cherokee, KS.

How are you related, I have some more information depending on what you're looking for.

Leland
