Robert McKee m. Mary Ann (Polly) Owens
1850 Campbell Co TN census:Robert McKee age 15 Family #6, Arthur & Rosannah McKee; Mary Ann Owens, age 19, Family #8 James D & Sarah Owens.
1860 Campbell Co TN census Robert McKee, 25, wife Polly Ann 27, Rufus Owens 7 and George W McKee 1
(Note:Often daughters named Mary were called Polly, which nickname may then listed on census and marriage records)
1870 Pulaski Co KYGeorge W McKee 11 and Sarah A, 9, are in household of John 47 and Polly Russel 38.Rufus McKee, 17, is listed in the household of George Garner, with one of his dau. Permelia, age 14.
I have located the marriage record in 1850 of John Russel m Polly Weddle--so maybe both his wives named Mary called Polly.
A marriage in Pulaski Co KY (date not listed) in Book III, 1864-1886:
"RUSSELL, JOHN 44, 2nd, b. Claborn Co., Tenn.F.b. Va, M.b. Tenn.MCKEE, MARY 30 2nd, b. Tenn.F.b. NK, M.b. NK.AHO (at home of)Res. of Bride-Pulaski Co.Sur.D. W. Russell"(NK may be NC--a typo)
"27 DEC 1874 MCKEE, RUFUS 22 1st. b. Campbell Co., Tenn, M(?).b. Campbell co., Tenn. M.b. Campbell Co., Tenn
GARNER, PERMELIA F.19 1st. b. Pc.F.b. PC. Mb. PC.

About 10 years ago posted on this message board and the Owens board messages by Mickey Shanks, searching for his great grandfather Rufus Clifford Owens McKee.One was titled with "TN KY OK TX."
The Campbell Co TN to Pulaski Co KY area is near the 2 states borders where there was a lot of Civil War activity.KY was declared neutral but there was fighting to claim territory.
Robert McKee was a brother to my gr gr grandfather Joseph Alfred McKee.I have not found a death record, but Robert may have died in the War, his wife remarried to John Russell.Mary Ann (Polly) Owens was born about 1832-1833 on census, so married about 1863 to John Russell.
1880 Pulaski Co KY census does not show Rufus & Permelia McKee nor John & Polly Russell with the Russell children and the 2 McKeechildren.Message poster Mickey Shanks knew that Rufus McKee and family migrated to OK & TX.
I wonder if the Russell family also migrated with the McKee family to OK (one message said Mt. View OK).
Also, does another poster have suggestions on finding if Robert McKee served and died during the Civil War.I have located one reference that a soldier named Robert McKee served as a private in the 2 (Woodward's) Kentucky Cav, Confederate, Company A.
Thanks for any help.Betty Jo Moss
