I have records stating 4 brothers McKee and 1 Edgar at the battle. I also have 4 Edgars brothers and 1 McKee! This is likly to be a shared history. Do you know the names of the 4 McKees? I know of Hugh McKee only and Robert Edgar.
I have drawn a blank at the origins for Robert Edgar in Scotland. I am assuming that the Edgars and the McKees were associated together in Penninghame (I have no evidence to support this, just a hunch!)
