David McKee, b. 1710, was the father of John, the true founder of McKeesport. In his (1795) will, David names two grandsons, David and Robert, but not their father, Robert ( wife Suzanne),who had died. Two grandaughters also were not in the will (Mary Torrance & Elizabeth Sinclair).
Son David.
Son, James was Executor; his wife was Jean Cunningham; also son, Capt. David, wife Margaret Cunningham, sisters I suppose. As I recall, David was not in the Will, but I believe I got his chldrens names there:Jams, John, David, Sarah and Mary Patterson.
David's daughters were Mary Peeple and Margaret McKee (perhaps md. to Robert).
Allegheny Co. is the next county to Westmorland, where my Samuel d. 1780, and had not yet been separated. In trying to tie in my Saml to the family, and seeing the Wills of Robert (Suzanna) & David filed in the same court in Westmor., and my Sam's administrators to be David & Robt, I feel like there is a definite tie. Some think Samls' father was a Robert, and a Capt. Robert, wife Elizabeth, were neighbors and buried in the same cemetery at Hannastown.
I've forgotten now what the question was I tried to answer. Donna
