This would be the link to the map where you can find the map with the greater concentration of McKee living in Scotland and Britain 1881. (Ireland not shown on this map.)

Locations are 1st Kilmarnock
..................Motherwell
..................then, Paisley and Carlisle
..................Glasgow
the least amount are shown at
..................Dumfries, Falkirk, Dundee, Edinburgh

Apparently, there were none living in the Highlands in 1881. (Or so few they were not given a color on the map.)

I also did a google on Penninghame New Town Stewart and found it located within the above colored areas on the map.
