Arthur McKee in 1850 Campbell Co TN census was listed as a shoemaker, could not read/write, age 45, born in VA. So he would have been born in VA abt 1805. He could not have come to America during the Potato Famine in the 1840's. In 1810 Federal census in VA, there were in VA, William, Robert, John, and James in Rockbridge Co; a William in Augusta Co VA; a William in Mason Co, VA; and a James in Jefferson Co, VA. I am trying to put him with parents in VA.
