In the Name of God Amen—the twentyseventh day of September 1794 Ad I John McKee of Chester County pinckney District & State of South Carolina Planter Being Verry Sick, & Weake of Body but of perfect mind & Memmory thanks be given unto God therfore Calling to Mind the Mortallitey of my body & [ ‘that it’ struck out] Knowing that it is Appointed for all Men once to die do make & ordain this my Last Will and Testament that is to Say prinsably & first of all
I give & recomend my Soul into the hands of Almighty god that give it & my Body I Recomend to the Earth to be burred indesant Cristan Burial at the Discretion of my Executors herafter Named nothing doubting but at the General Reserrection I Shall Resive the Same again by the Mighty power of God & as tuching Such Worldly Estate Wherwithit hath Pleased God to Bless me With in this life I Give demise & Dispose of the Same in the following Manner & form----
Imprinis I give & Bequith to my Well beloved Son Samuel Collins McKee the Ten pounds that was Borrowed to him which I Allow for his Whole Cotto & no more &
all the remainder of my Estate after paying of all my Lawfull Debts & demands I Allow to be Equualy divided Amongest my Well Beloved Wife & my five Childer that is William & Susana John Martha & James Except my 2 Youngest that is Martha & James that I Allow five pounds to Each of them more than their Equal devide providing that my Well beloved Wife Continues Awidow &
if She Marries Again I Allow her nothing but her Bed & bed close & Body Close &
if it pleases God to Call any of my Childer in their Nonage I Allow their Colo to be Equally devided Amongest my Wife & Children Each of them an Equal Share Excepting my wife Saddle that I Allow to her Whilest Awidow & at the End of that to be given to my daughter Susans out of her Equal Coto &
