In resonse to Edward F. McKee - William Robert McKee married to Margaret Kelsey. Margaret Kelsey was the Daughter of Hugh Kelsey and Margaret Mills. Hugh Kelsey served as Sergent in the American Revolution, he at one time served under his Brother-in-law, Captain John Mills.
William and Margaret Kelsey McKee moved from Chester County, S.C., into Alabama, they then moved to Noxubee County, Mississippi, where Margaret died of Cholera at the age of 58, June 23, 1849. Their Son, Hugh Kelsey McKee, was born November 17, 1820 in South Carolina or Alabama. Hugh Kelsey McKee, married Elizabeth Campbell, she was born in Ohio, parents Robert Campbell and Evie Duke (per information given on Mississippi Death Certificate, File No. 6625, Kemper County, Mississippi Archives and History). Hugh Kelsey McKee, and his wife Elizabeth Campbell McKee died in Mississippi, and are buried in Hopewell Methodist Cemetery in Kemper County.
