Interesting discussion of Charlotte McKee Pierson. I am coming at this from a totally different direction and can't help but see the similarity.
My mission is to track down the parentage of one Charles Pierson/Pearson B. Richmond Va 15 Jan 1813. His first born son was named Joseph. His second son is named John and in 1875 a book was published " Sketches of Leading Representative Men of San Francisco" in which John was interviewed for an article about himself. In a paragraph about his background he names his father Chas Pearson and then this; " His grandfather (Charles') , on his mother's side, was a Revolutionary officier , and had charge of the first forts built on the Tennessee River. So I went in search of such a person and found two names; John McKee (at Tellico Blockhouse was an Indian Agent) and a Dinsmoorwho replaced him.
In searching a Pierson/McKee connection I found your messages. Charles fits easily into the dateline of Joseph and Charlotte's children.
Does anyone have any unaccounted for children of these two? May I ask where the information on the childrens names was found? And you say Joseph's background is known: may I ask What is known?
Thanks in advance.
