I am planning to get the DNA kit as I have run into a wall re my ancestors. We have John Richard McKee b. 1783 in County Down Ireland, don't know the date of entrance into the U.S. & first record is his marriage to widow Martha Saunders in Savannah, Ga in 1823. Supposedly had a brother, perhaps Samuel, and a nephew, Robert, who served in the Union Army & rescued John's son Gauley CSA, from smallpox in Camp Douglas.
Hope we can get a lot of McKees to do the testing.
