Hello Cathy,

Thanks again for all that great research. I have been studying the Chistopher Gist link that you sent and it is very interesting and hard to put down.

The excerpt mentions FORT MCKEE and that it was built by CAPTAIN THOMAS MCKEE.

Would some history buffs reading this help me with the following:

Where was FORT MCKEE or even just which river where it was located. Was it on the SUSQUEHANNA? That would have been early - about which year, if known. Can anyone pass on info about the fort?

Was CAPTAIN THOMAS MCKEE a tory? Was Alexander McKee, known tory, his only proven child?
