Good to hear from others with similar interests. It's so interesting that someone with so many decendants as Guian had, that so little has been unearthed about his origins. I have seen the online version of the "Book of McKee", as well as the "McKees of Virginia and Kentucky", but am hoping to get my own paper copies of both in the future. Too bad there were so few published copies. I've only recently read of the Indian Trader Thomas McKee, and haven't done any of my own searching. With the strong probability that Guian WAS born in America, there seem to be few paternal possibilities, yet no answers. So close, yet so far. Between Guian and myself: Robert R m. Elizabeth Tout - Robert died fighting in War of 1812 James S. m. Eliza Mott - Spent majority of life in Fleming Co. Kentucky in farming. Died shortly after 1880 census - Listed in Daughter Elizabeth Ingram's household along with Thomas below. William m. Margaret Dillon - William born abt 1847 per census records. Margaret died 3 months after only child born. Can find no further info on William after 1870 census, other than Son's Birth Certificate in 1876. Strange. Thomas Silas McKee m. Pearl May Kingen - Thomas moved to Grant Co. Indiana sometime between 1880 census (lived with aunt) and 1898 marriage in Grant Co. - Have census records to 1930. Haven't found death records just yet. Perry m. Juanita Nicholson in Grant Co. Second of 5 sons of Thomas. Enlisted after WWI. Married, one child, and divorced all between 1920 and 1930. My great-grantparents. I would love to share info with anyone with any information on any of these McKee families. Notify Administrator about this message?
