ALEXANDER (X) McKEE. 8 MAR 1798, PROBATE IN APRIL 1798 CT. I Alexander McKee of Providence Settlement, being weak and sick in body, give to my sons JOHN, ALEXANDER, WILLIAM AND THOMAS the tracrt of land bought from Mr. BARR which is to be equally divided among them. My wagon and two horses bought from JOHN PATTERSON are to be sold and the proceeds divided among my four sd sons. The remainder of my movable property and livestock is to be appraised and that not taken by my heirs after sd appraisement is to be sold and the proceeds apportioned as follows. I give to my grandson ALEX. HODGE, son of JOHN HODGE, $20.00 to be put to interest by my exrs for him; to my grandson ALEXANDER GUYER $20.00 also to be put to interest for him; to my dau SARAH wife of WILLIAM HALL, five sh; to my dau KATY (CATHERINE?), wife of JOHN HODGE, five sh; to my dau MARY wife of JOHN GUYER, five sh; to my dau JANE, wife of WILLIAM GRAHAM, five sh; and to my dau KILSEY a mare and her saddle. I give to my dau ELIZABETH a horse to be paid to the estate by JOHN PATTERSON by September first. I also give to my dau RUTH a horse to be paid to the estate by JOHN PATTERSON by September first, and sd horse is to be sold and the money put to interest for her until she comes of age. The remainder of the money arising from the sale of my property, after payment to debts is to be divided equally among my following children living with me: JOHN, KILSEY, ELIZABETH, ALEXANDER, RUTH, WILLIAM, AND THOMAS. “Excepting the Debt which is paid and all that the Estate will be charged with to ROBERT OSBURN which shall be taken off JOHN’S part of the money.” Exrs: JOHN HODGE AND JOHN PATTERSON.
