Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum
message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles
will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will
no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.
I apologize for pushing you. You say you think you are looking for a David. Do you know what time era, county, or his wife, brother?
For example, I do not know the parents of my James, 3rd. gr. granddad.
But I do know he was b. 1803 in Westmor. or Armstrong, his wife was Margaret Pierce, and he named his 1st son Samuel for his father, and 1st daughter Margaret, for her mom. 2nd son Peter for her father, 2nd dtr. Nancy for her mom. Many McKees do that. He died in Freeport, Ill. in ab. 1865. Therefore, I would not spend much time looking in other states in the 1900's for his dad. It sure cuts down on a lot of looking. Donna
