Hello Christine,

If Dora was deaf since birth or early childhood, there is a chance her name may be found in the register of one of those deaf schools. If you can tell me where she grew up, I could give you the names of nearby deaf schools.

I am deaf and I checked and found there was a Nora McKee born in 1878 and her parents were Clark McKee and Elizabeth Keel.

Our Emma Dora McKee was born in 1867 and married Thomas Allmand.

Sorry I couldn't help much and yes, I'd love to see your photos.
