Page 78 William Beatty bca 1718 in Ballykeel-Ednagonnel County Antrim, Ireland mar. Mary Mckee in 1741 at McKee’s Dam Clogher County Down Ireland they had five children in Ireland. Page 80-81 Agnes Beatty mar Robert Finlay and they had nine children. Of those; William Finlay, b1776, mar. Mary McKee about 179x in Ire. David Finlay, b1776, twin to Wm mar. Agnes McKee about 179x Agnes Finlay b1795, mar. in 1815 to David McKee, b1788, d1850 The had at issue, likely all born in Ire, the following; John McKee b1816 mar Alice Brownlee Agnes McKee b 1817, d 1841 Mary McKee b 1827, d 1834 Robert McKeeb 1827 d 1834 Sarah McKee b 1830 mar John Gibson Page 90 James McKee, elder brother of David McKee, who mar. Agnes Finlay, mar. Ellen Beatty in County Down in 1804. They emigrated to America in 1817. Their children born in Ire. and presumed to have accompanied parents to America were; Mary McKee b1805 Agnes McKee b 1807 Thomas McKee b 1807 John McKee, b 1809 James McKee, b 1811 Page 200-10 Elizabeth McKee mar on Oct. 2, 1797 to John Elder likely in Dauphin Co PA. They had at issue five children incl J. McKee Elder. Page 286 Dr. J.C. McKee mar Caroline Galbraith possibly in Butler Co PA after 1800 Page 294 George McKee mar Elizabeth Gregg before 1800 possibly in Lancaster Co PA Page 652 The famous PA slander suit of Mckee vs Gallegher of 1801 included fourteen lawyer for plaintiff and twenty-two for defendant. One lawyer was Robert Stewart. Page 666 Charles J. McKee, attorney-at-law of Hillsboro OH mar in 1889 to Sarah Stewart of PA line. This book also notes Mackey as follows: Page 63-65 A son of Mr. Mackey was captured by Indians about 1757 in Lancaster Co. PA. In the chase Mr. Mackey was killed. Eventually the Mackey boy was sold by Indians to a Frenchman, taken to England, raised,joined the British Army and fought in the Revolution.
