Bartlesville, Jan 5-Burial services for Mrs. Lucy A. Whitson, 50, of this city, who died in her home early Friday morning of influenza, were held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock in the Moore Funeral Home with Rev. Chester Van Dyke pastor of the Church of the Brethran, officiating. Burial was in White Rose Cemetery beside the body of her father, Mrs. Whitson had been a resident of Bartlesville for 34 years.

Funeral Services for Mr. Ellis Hulbert Whitson, 72, retired associate
of the National Zinc Company, will be held Tuesday at 10:00 am. in the
Arnold Moore Memory Chapel. Rev. Raymond Wolfe will officiate for
his services and interment will be directed in the White Rose
Cemetery. Mr. Whitson died in Memorial Hospital Saturday morning
following brief illness.
Ellis H. Whitson, Long Time City Resident, Dies
Ellis Hubert Whitson, father of James Doyle Whitson, Bartlesville and a resident of the city for over fifty years, died in Memorial Hospital at 2:30 am Saturday following a brief illness. He had been in failing health for the past year and his condition became worse on Wednesday when he was admitted into the hospital for treatment.
A long time associate of the National Zinc Co. here, Mr. Whitson was born August 5, 1881 at Harvard, Iowa, where he spent his early life. He moved as a young man to Iola, Kan., where he was employed by the Zinc Co. there until coming to Bartlesville in the early 1900's. He retired a short time ago after twenty five years association with the National Zinc Co. He was married to his late wife, the former Lucy Duke, in Bartlesville and she preceded him to death in January 1941. He was a lifetime member of the local smelters union.
Funeral services are incomplete and will be announced later by the Arnold Moore Funeral Service. Tentative arrangements have been planned for Tuesday morning., with interment directed here. In addition to his son of Bartlesville, survivors include another son, John C. Whitson, Okmulgee; two daughters, Mrs. John Dolence, Amsterdam, New York, and Mrs. Earl Chapman, Reno, Nevada; one brother John T. Whitson, Bartlesville; two sisters, Mrs. Sarah Frances McVey, Bartlesville, and Mrs. Elizabeth A. Clifton, of Caney, thirteen grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
