Thanks very much for this information, Mr. McKee. Actually, it is interesting - the name Hugh, that is - because my gg grandmother, Elizabeth McKee who married John Clark, and who was from South Carolina, named one of their sons "Hugh". All of their children were born in Lincoln Co., Tennessee, however, and here are some other names of their children: Henry, Nancy, James, Joseph, Robert, John H., William, Thomas N., Sarah Elizabeth, and last, but not least - my great grandfather, Ebenezer Samuel (Sam) Clark. If I remember correctly, one of her sons - and it might have been Hugh - came down to Mississippi, around the Kemper Co. area. I haven't worked on my Clarks/McKee's for a very long time, but I will have to investigate this further. Thanks for writing.

Sue (Johnson) Howard
