Willilam Robert McKEE was born in 1785, in CHESTER SC. He married Margaret Kelsey, who was born in 1891, in Chester SC. One son was Hugh Kelsey McKee, born 1819, who moved westward. He died in AL in 1894. His son, Levi Mills, was born around 1825-1835, in NESHOBA County MS. He married Mary Cerena Lee. Their oldest son, Hugh Kelsey II, my father, who was born in Kemper County MS, in 1885. I was born in 1927. You might want to google USGenWeb+Kemper County MS. There is a lot of interesting information on the area around Kemper, such as school aged children lists, cemetery lists. Neshoba County and Kemper County are close geographically. Lauderdale County (Meridian MS) is also nearby. There are quite a few McKee persons in the area.
