Patrick McKee born May 1830, possibly in Athlone, COunty Westmeath. Patrick is buried in a grave owned by John Farrell, who maried Sarah McKee. I believe Sarah was Patrick's sister. On John Farrell's grave, the monument reasds that John came from Athlone, Westmeath. I know that John and Patrick came to America on the same ship. They either were friends in Westmeath or met on the ship. If anyone can shed any light on this question, please contact me directly at barbc70@comcast.net
Patrick McKee settled in Albany, NY and is buried at St Agnes Cemetery in Menands, NY, an Albany suburb. He died in Oswego, NY on 9 Oct 1908.
In 1860 Patrick was in Albany, NY married to Amanda, b 1830 in Ireland with four children, James, age 7(my Great Grandfather); John, age 5; Thomas, age 3 and Sarah, age 1.
After Amanda died, Patrick married Matilda Davidson, a widow, b Canada abt 1835. On the 1870 Albany Census there are three more sons: Edward, age 9; Patrick, age 7 and William, age 4. These three may be Matilda's children. Matilda's maiden name may be Hutchinson.
