Alexander & Charlotte McKee in Ontario & Saskatchewan
Posted by: Ruth Cassidy (ID *****1867) Date: May 28, 2005 at 13:40:31

Any information concerning Alexander and Charlotte McKee who lived in Nottawasaga Township in Ontario and are listed in the Canadian census of 1881 with 8 children: John (14), Alexander 12, Isaac James 10, Richard 8, Margaret Jane 7, William Henry 5, Matilda 3, and Charlotte 1. They are Presbyterian and quite possibly Charlotte's maiden name is Lyle but this is not definite. In the 1901 Canadian census Alexander and Charlotte have moved to Assinoboa Township, Katepwa Beach, Saskatchewan and they have Isaac, Richard and Charlotte with them. It is estimated that Alexander was born in 1834 and Charlotte in 1837. Isaac married Adelaide Joseph Linn from Ituna, Sask and they moved to Toronto and had one daughter Dorothy Lyle McKee born in 1911. Extended family might include a Morley McKinney or Kinney and May Robertson.
