Hi Mavis. I can't remember if I ever replied to your original reply to my query; at least it doesn't seem to be hear on the board. Thanks for your reply. I would be interested to see to see some more fleshed-out (and referenced) material on the children of Thomas McKee and Martha Hoge.
I have Thomas Mckee born 1749 in County Down, died about Jun 1815 in Butler Twp., Pennsylvania. Martha Hoge was born 17 Dec 1759 in the Tuscarora valley, present Juniata county, Pennsylvania and also died in Butler Twp., 26 Jul 1836. I have their children as -
James McKee, born Jan 1779 in Tuscarora valley, died Butler Twp. 1 Oct 1832. In 1812 he married Mary McKee.
Robert McKee, born abt 1781 in Tuscarora valley, died abt 1798 in Butler Co.
Jane McKee, born 9 Nov 1782 in Tuscarora valley, died 1 May 1862, probably in Slippery Rock Twp. She had married a James McKee (see Slippery Rock McKees).
Hugh McKee, born 5 Jan 1785 in Tuscarora valley, died 7 May 1835 in Butler Pennsylvania. He married on 9 Nov 1809 to Margaret Dunbar (5 Jun 1789-Oct 1873).
Leticia McKee, born abt 1789, died 12 Aug 1866. She married John Dunbar. They removed to Posey county, Indiana and left numerous descendants.
David McKee, born abt 1790, and died near Nauvoo, Illinois.
John McKee, born 1791, died 1816.
Thomas McKee, born 1793 and died in Maysville, Kentucky. He had married a "Miss Bryan".
And finally my line through Robert Hoge McKee, born abt 1797 in Butler, Pennsylvania, died of an accident while promoting his wagon-making business on 12 Apr 1851, apparently in Natchitoches, Louisiana.
I have seen the info for your David Daniel McKee and Mary McMillan posted in the IGI or Ancestral File, but Ive always wondered about the dates. As you can see, I don't have very good info for either David, John, or Thomas McKee. Can you point me to some reference materials that connect David McKee to this line? Please let me know if you have any questions on the info I've listed.
