Bob, For those who follow this McKee Geoforum as I do, let me add;

On a map of the NC/SC border there are early McKees in Gaston, Mecklinburg and Union counties of No.Carolina. The SC border counties of interest are York and Lancaster. There are also early Mckees in Chester county which is adjacent to both York and Lancaster Co.

The division between these six counties has changed with time. Early settles along this border could have records in either NC or SC.
