Thanks a lot for the information. I'm almost positive that it is the same family. The Troy Historical Society on-line has some very good information for Miami County,OH. Also on-line and good for searching is the Miami Valley Ohio Genealogical Index. The Troy Historical Society lists for the 1835 Census for Miami Co. Lostcreek Twp. as William, James, Jeremiah, and Solomon McKee all consecutively, so I assume that they were living together. I believe that they are the correct ages. I had seen a William McKee listed as being a fifer in the War of 1812. I also found some information on-line about the McKees on a McDonough Co. IL web-site. It mentioned William R. and son Aaron R. or P. Mckee born 16 July 1821 as going to Whitewater. Then later to Miami Co. OH. Said William was born 14 Apr 1783 and died 12 Oct. 1880 buried at Oakwood Cemetery. I'll have to look for that book you mentioned.
