Maybe this will help. Our family history comes from David Thomas McKee Sr., who is Hugh's older brother. There father David Daniel McKee, 10 Jan 1796 was born in Westmoreland, PA and died in Mt. Pisgah, Iowa. Some records say He died in Nauvoo, Ill but we have tracked his grave to the small Morman settlement @ Mt. Pisgah. Where he died trying to defend his faith and stand guard. He married Mary Tweed McMillian on 11 Jul 1816 @ Slippery Rock, Butler, PA where most of there 12 children were born. His father Thomas McKee was born in County Down, Ireland. Thomas married Martha Hogg after arriving in America. She was born in PA. Thomas also had 12 children. His father James or David Mckee married Jane with 1 child known, which was Thomas. This is where you can get into Ireland and Scotland. Try contacting K4earl@aol.com She has much more documented history on this line.
