I know this has been a long time since you posted but I am in the Jeannette HIstorical Society in PA. Jeannette ( the "Glass City" ) was built around the McKee glass industry in 1888 when H. Sellers McKee moved the Pittsburgh plant this area. He named the town after his wife Jeannette. I would like to share some info if you have found anything since your post. I have some info on the family.
