I am looking for any info on the parents of Mary McKee, married to George Ray about 1849 possibly in Noble Co., Ohio. George and Mary apparently divorced and he later remarried. We have found George and Mary on a census with some of their children but that is the last record of Mary that we can find. Her son, Lincoln, often said that his grandfather was Irish and his grandmother Indian. (According to my Uncle, Lincoln looked very Native American) Since we have nothing on the Ray side that would support this, we are wondering if the McKee side might have had American Indian, possibly Mary's mother. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
