Thomas H. McKee/1845-1847/Tenn to Texas

I am looking for Thomas H. McKee who left south Middle Tennessee around mid 1840s with a wagon train for Texas. Settled in 1847 in what is now Cherokee County, Texas, with a number of settlers. They formed a town called Larissa. Need to find starting point and anything concerning the trek. Believe my gg grandfather could have come on this journey. Would like to say hello to him if anyone finds him.
