I am looking for info on Joseph and Sidney McKee, who were my great-great-great-great grandparents, attempting to extend back my knowledge of this family line. Joseph was born abt. 1749 in Ireland, died 1824. He married Sidney Ownes, who is supposed to be of Scottish descent, in 1774 in Clark Co., Kentucky. Our family records say Sidney was born in Scotland, but I have recently found unverified info saying she was born abt. 1752 in Clark Co., KY. Jospeh and Sidney had 6 children, of whom John (b. Apr. 10, 1778 or 79 in Clark Co., KY, d. Sept. 15, 1838 in Vincennes, Ind.) is the child thru' which my line comes.
If anyone has information that would help me learn more about Joseph and Sidney, their parents, when they came to this country, etc., I'd love to hear from you! Charis.
