How sure are you of Charlotte's date of birth? Do you know when and where she died?

I'm looking for a Clarey McKee, daughter of a William McKee. William was born, we think, in Augusta County, VA, in the 1760s. He was in the tithables list in 1783. His father Samuel McKee and mother Martha (don't know her last name) were married there in 1762. William married Rebecca Erwin there in 1789.

Around 1790 Samuel and his family moved to Fayette County, Kentucky. Three of his sons, William, James, and David, purchased land in Harrison County, KY, in 1800. William died there in 1807, leaving Rebecca with at least eight children--eight are named with her in deeds by which she subsequently sold the land--the eldest being a daughter born in 1790. Clarey McKee is not among these eight.

Samuel McKee, William's father, wrote his will in 1813. He left a small parcel of land to "my granddaughter Clarey McKee, daughter of my son WIlliam, deceased."

Could this Clarey be your Charlotte McKee Pierson?
