Very interesting! I'm not sure if there's a connection or not.

To date, I've pieced together that John McKee Jr. came to Sullivan County Indiana from TN at about 1816 (time of Indiana statehood). Reportedly, he immigrated with his family including his father, John McKee Sr. in roughly 1789 from Scotland. They may have stopped in Nova Scotia first before proceeding on to Baltimore and then to Blount County TN.

I haven't found any references to Ohio or Pennsylvania in this branch of the family yet, but I do know that those states, in addition to TN, had significant pockets of McKee's.

The Sullivan County connection is intriguing. I'll keep your message for future reference - just in case a further connection materializes from other channels.

Thanks for sharing. Beth
