You need to start with a copy of Major Hugh Wilson McKee's The McKees of Virginia and Kentucky. I think it is in the William and Mary Library or the LDS archives; Pat McKee Bauer at reprinted and updated the book a few years ago and has copies for sale. I also have several obits from the Kentucky papers of the time, and a couple of pictures of Lt. McKee. I, too, am curious as to just what we were doing in Korea at the time. Several years ago, I made some inquiries about the incident at the history departments of a couple of universities, but got nowhere.
