Regarding Gavin/Guian's origins:
We know from his pension application that he was "raised a miller."James Moore, of Middleton Twp., Cumberland Co., PA, a miller, by his will of 1767, gave to his servant Gawen McKee.Tax lists indicate Moore's son William had one servant and one slave in 1771, but only one slave in 1772.
