I think you may be in the right tree but, on the wrong branch.
Col.William McKee s/o Pioneer Robert;b.1692
married the daughter of Pioneer John; b.1707. Her name was Miriam McKee. William was b. 5-7-1732 which would have made him of the same generation as your Samuel. I have data on the eight children of Wm. and Miriam (my 6th Gr. Grandparents), one of which is a Samuel b. 1774.
