Donna: George Wilson McKee published a book about a hundred years ago entitled THE MCKEES OF VIRGINIA AND KENTUCKY. He was of the branch that went off toward Pittsburgh and gave name to McKeesport, etc. He named the three who went to Virginia as Robert, John, and William. I think they went to what was then Augusta County, VA (which at one time contained everything from the Shenandoah Valley west to the Ohio River). Rockbridge County was created out of Augusta.

McKee's book is long out of print, and the revised edition that was issued many years later is also out of print, but it is in many genealogy libraries, either in hard copy or microfiche.
